An oval dish is painted with a blue sky, red flowers and palm trees. Each colour is brushed on by hand and fired into the glaze.
Daniyar Sadykov paints the dish in layers, so each colour runs slightly into the next.
Exclusive Daniyar paints the mountains and high pastures of the Tian Shan in bold colour fields. He grew up in a village near the Kyrgyz border and still spends long summers walking the ridges he paints. His glazed pours and painted landscapes on ceramic have been shown in Almaty, Astana and Istanbul.
