Daniyar paints the mountains and high pastures of the Tian Shan in bold colour fields. He grew up in a village near the Kyrgyz border and still spends long summers walking the ridges he paints. His glazed pours and painted landscapes on ceramic have been shown in Almaty, Astana and Istanbul.
Daniyar keeps notebooks of colour observed at different hours of the day, and he returns to the same ridges in several seasons. His 2021 show Steppe Light was held at Focus Gallery.
